New IRMC Mobile Unit

Mobile Medical Unit: IRMC's new medical mobile unit replaces the 16-year-old existing unit and was obtained through an appropriation from the Office of U.S. Health Resources & Services administration.

The new unit is approximately 6 feet shorter than the old unit and includes a waiting area, bathroom and up-to-date equipped examination room. The unit was manufactured by a company located in Greenville, Pennsylvania. The exterior graphics were developed by Lindsey Stefan from the PR Department.

The new mobile unit will continue to offer blood pressure clinics at 17 locations throughout the county. We will also continue to use the unit at community events and festivals, such as Airport Days, Fool’s Run and Apollo Ridge Health Fair. The IRMC Mobile Medical Unit will also continue to serve as the first aid station at the Indiana County and Cookport Fairs. We hope to expand the services offered at the outreach sites to include additional screenings and access to the HealthAware program.
